The Southern Coastal Regional Employee Benefits Fund is offering an opportunity for member entities to apply for a health and wellness grant. The Fund has budgeted $152,000 in calendar year 2021 for such projects. All grant applications to the Coastal Fund should be used only for employees enrolled under the entity’s medical plan. To be eligible for the grant, an entity must propose the program that will best meet their needs and which will also allow them to develop and sustain an employee wellness program.

The Fund Program Manager reviews the application for completeness of Fund goals as they relate to the Fund and the needs assessment of the Fund in correlation to the developed funding guidelines. The Program Manager forwards the reviewed applications to the Fund’s Wellness Committee with a recommendation of acceptance or denial. The Fund’s Wellness Committee shall affirm or reverse the Program Manager’s recommendation. The affirmed applications shall be placed on the next regularly scheduled meeting for a formal vote of approval or denial. Following grant approval, expenses must be submitted with HIF payment voucher along with all receipts and appropriate documentation for consideration.
